About the Aircraft
After the developing time documentary film was released, Ki-78 has attracted great attention from fans again.
In the WW?, Japan Army developed only one Ki-78 ¡ÉKEN-SAN¡É aircraft which was known as Japanese fastest propeller driven Aircraft. The development of KENSAN intended the designation of high speed aircraft experiment and making an attempt to break the World speed record. Its special features consist of compact design and sharp style to fit with high speed aircraft.
The first flight was in December 1942. After a feasibility study with many test flights was made at Gifu Air base (old name; Kakamigahara Air Station) to improve the flight performance, it could make the domestic highest speed record by 699.9km/h as reciprocating machine on 27th December 1943.
About the Aircraft
This is an unpainted assembly multi-material model kit for Ki-78 in 1/72 scale.
-Glue and paint are required.
-Propeller and landing gear are made with white metal and highly accurate.
-Parts are made by Unlimited Air Models.
-Reproduce the reality of the aircraft with FUMUNA marking on the flap in new released film.
-The fuselage and the main wing are integrally molded, respectively.
-For the ease of assembly, the windshield is also integral molding of transparent urethane.
-Includes two decal schemes with high quality.
