About the Aircraft
The Focke-Wulf Fw190 is a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s and widely used during World War II. The Fw190 D-9 version was intended to improve the low performance at high altitudes of the A-series.
The Fw190 D-9 has some special features such as long-nose, lengthened fuselage and powered by Junkers Jumo 213 a liquid-cooled inline engine. The mass production of Fw190 D-9s started in summer of 1944 and they were sequentially deployed in each military unit. Fw190 D-9 called as Dora, and was one of the best fighter planes during last half of WW? because of its capability of extreme speeds at medium to high altitude.
