About the Aircraft
The F-15J Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather air superiority fighter in use by Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) since 1982. The 305th Squadron is a squadron on air defense mission at Nyutabaru Air base. The F-15J Eagle showed his new painting scheme marking the 40th founding anniversary in March 2019 and attracted many peoples' attention.
It is featured by the digital camouflage technique, which is now said to be the latest style camouflage. The image color of the 305th Squadron, also known as the "Ume-Gumi"(plum blossom) from the squadron's marking, was skillfully arranged with a big plum blossom. This design has become a presence to raise the morale of the 305th Squadron who will continue to serve the air defense mission.
