About this Aircraft
The T-1 was the first indigenously designed Japanese jet-powered trainer aircraft to be developed after World War II and used by JASDF.
The T-1s were used in the intermediate trainer role, and have been training many pilot for decades.
The T-1A was powered by the British-designed turbojet, while the T-1B used the Japanese turbojet.
The first flight was in January 1958. A total of 66 T-1 planes were built and retired in March 2006.
About the Kit
This is an unpainted unassembled plastic model kit for 1/72 scale. Glue and paint is not included.
Platz reproduces the T1-B kit with completely newly tooling and reproduces the simple and Japanese aircraft style accurately.
The kit is produced for easy to assemble and in fine detail.
The panel lines are presicely reproduced, and includes the tank under the main wing.
It is also possible to complete the kit in off-loading.
The silk-screen printing decals are made by Cartograf which enable to reproduce the orange body line.
The finish is about 168mm in length, and about 145mm in width.
