【About the Aircraft】
The Adversary Unit, also known as the Top Gun, is a unit that plays virtual enemy planes in simulated battles for skill improvement training for fighter pilots at the US Navy Fighter Weapons School. The F-16N Fighting Falcon was operated between 1988 and 1998 as its adversary plane. Developed based on the F-16 Block 30, which has been operated as the main force of the US Air Force fighter unit since 1979. The radar was modified from the APG-66 of the F-16A/B, and it was not equipped with a machine gun or AAM, and was modified and lightened according to its mission. Single-seat and two-seat types were produced, and 22 single-seat F-16Ns were produced. The aircraft had different camouflage paint from the normal unit, giving the F-16 a different look and attracting more attention.
