About the Aircraft
The Focke-Wulf 1000 was a twin-jet bomber project for the Luftwaffe, designed by the Focke-Wulf aircraft manufacturing company during the last years of the Third Reich.
The designation meant that these bombers are capable of maximum takeoff weight 1000 kg, for a range of 1000 km, at a maximum speed of 1000 km/h. The service ceiling was said to be reached as high as 13500m.
This Fast-Bomber was designed by H. von Halem and D. Küchemann and was powered by two Heinkel HeS 011 turbojet engines.
A 1000 kg bomb can be carried in the internal bomb bay located in the underneath of the center fuselage. (The story of Fist of War®)
