About the Aircraft
The SR-71 Blackbird was operated by the US Air Force from 1966 to 1990. The cruising altitude during the mission was over 25,000m, and the cruising speed was Mach 3.2. The SR-71 featured a unique stealth aircraft shape. In addition to using titanium alloy, the SR-71 had a special black painting for heat dissipation. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney J58 engines, the SR-71 was equipped with a spike cone that was electronically controlled to move back and forth in the front of the engine system.
