About the Aircraft

The F-2A fighter of JASDF is jointly developed by Japan and the United States as a successor to the F-1 support fighter and started operation in 2000. After the deployment, the F-2A keeps improving in capabilities such as sensors and radar. In addition, the introduction of AN/AAQ-33 Sniper XR as a target instruction pod and the equipment of a conformal fuel tank (CFT) for increasing the fuel load are also under review. The F-2A will continue to play an active role as a multirole fighter that is expected to evolve further in the future.

This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-2A fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 1/144.
