About the Aircraft

The A-4 Skyhawk is a carrier-based attack aircraft that built an era with great maneuverability and high armament loading capacity. Deployment and operation began from 1956. The A-4 Skyhawk adopted the delta wing, and featured short-span wing less than 8m which enable to be onboard without wingtip folding even on the carrier. The A-4F is the final type of the A-4 series equipped with the J52 engine and enhanced electronic devices. Taking advantage of the excellent maneuverability, the A-4 Skyhawk was active as a virtual enemy aircraft in the Top Gun unit responsible for air combat training of US Navy pilots.
