About the Aircraft
The A4 Skyhawk was designed for aircraft carrier operations with the US Navy and US Marine Corps as a small attack aircraft with high loading capacity in the 1950s. Its high performance is highly evaluated not only in the U.S. Navy but also in many countries. The A-4 Sky Hawk was operated by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as the main force from the 1970s to the 2000s.
Since the inauguration of the RNZAF in 1939, various roundels have been used in accordance with the RAF. In 1957, the roundel was modified by the Silver Fern, endemic to New Zealand, within the inner red circle. In 1970, the roundel was changed to a design using the New Zealand national bird Kiwi until now.
About the Kit
This is a 1/144 scale unpainted assembly plastic model kit for the A-4K Sky Hawk operated by Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).
-Paint and Glue are required.
-Contains TWO A-4 Sky Hawk model kits in high accuracy with recessed panel lines.
-The silk-screen printing decal is made by Cartograf with 4 marking schemes as below,
